Alliance of Democratic Reforms Party
Alliance of Democratic Reforms Party (Aadar Party) took a significant step towards transforming the political landscape in India by holding its inaugural meeting on September 18, 2022. Recognizing the urgent need for change, the party approached the Election Commission to officially register itself and was granted registration under the Representation of the People Act, 1951. The registration, bearing the number 56/222/2022-2023/PPS-IV, came into effect on April 18, 2023.
Currently, the political scenario in India, both at the national and state levels, is not conducive to a healthy democratic system. There is a pressing need for changes to be made in the Indian Constitution and the Representation of the People Act of 1951. As the largest democratic and most populous country in the world, India has witnessed significant changes since gaining independence in 1947 and adopting the constitution in 1950.
When we initially began electing representatives to state and central legislative bodies, it was done in a democratic spirit and with high values. However, today, money plays a pivotal role in elections, and voters are being corrupted by leaders who offer financial incentives, liquor, and exploit divisions based on caste and religion. Over the past 75 years, it has become evident that elected members often hail from influential families or specific castes, which undermines the principles of democracy. Our forefathers and the founders of the Indian Constitution could not have foreseen the present election scenario, otherwise they may have adopted a different approach in creating laws under the Constitution of India.
In recent decades, since the 1980s, regional parties have emerged as powerful forces in their respective states and have started to dominate national parties. Unfortunately, no national party has been able to secure an absolute majority in the central and state legislatures.
To address and eradicate these issues and bring about positive changes in the political scenario, the Alliance of Democratic Reforms Party has taken the initiative to raise awareness among voters and establish new democratic principles in the country.
